Burnley have made enquiries about Newcastle United left-back Paul Dummett.
The 24-year-old Wales international is still part of Rafa Benitez's plans though the Spanish coach also hopes to bring in Everton's Brendan Galloway on loan.
Benitez gave Dummett a starting role in Newcastle's opening day defeat by Fulham in the Championship on Friday night.
Having signed Jesus Gamez, Isaac Hayden, Grant Henley and Ciaran Clark this summer, the Magpies are well stocked across the back four.
