Jon Walters is on the verge of joining Burnley in a deal which could be worth £3million.
Stoke have accepted terms proposed by Sean Dyche's side and a contract of two years plus a third as an option is close to being finalised.
Walters is due back from holiday to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours and should then join up with the Burnley squad on Monday.
Burnley have been searching for attacking reinforcements after losing George Boyd but were initially rebuffed by Stoke on a bid starting at £1m.
