Joey Barton has been enjoying his return to the Premier League and the veteran midfielder had something else to smile about as he met one of his childhood heroes on Thursday.
Barton took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with former snooker star Jimmy White, saying: 'Met a legend today.'
'Grew up watching Jimmy at the Crucible,' the 34-year-old added. 'I'd sit with my grandad and watch on TV. Every year we'd say 'it's Jimmy's year this one!' #legend.'
White, nicknamed 'The Whirlwind' during his playing days, was a six-time World Championship finalist and a 29-time tournament winner.
