Hudson Fasching and Jake McCabe both tallied assists for their first points of the tournament as Team USA secured its third victory of the IIHF World Championship with a 5-1 win over Hungary in St. Petersburg, Russia on Friday.
Nick Foligno led the way for the U.S. with three points (2+1), beginning with a power-play goal 4:37 into the second period. Fasching's assist came 18 seconds later on a goal scored by Vince Hinostroza and McCabe notched the primary helper on Dylan Larkin's goal later in the period.
Fasching has seen his ice time rise incrementally in recent games.
