The Sabres have added another player to the fold, signing former second-round pick Eric Cornel to an entry-level deal. Cornel, a right winger, scored 27 goals and notched a team-high 56 assists in 68 games with the Peterborough Petes.
The 19-year-old winger spent four seasons in the OHL, scoring 70 goals and 143 assists in 265 games. He played six games with the Rochester Americans last season, dishing out one assist.
It's a busy day for the 6'2" forward, as he's playing North Bay tonight at 7 p.m. in the first game of the playoff series.
