The Sabres will start the 2015-16 NHL season in the friendly confines of the First Niagara Center, against a familiar foe.
The NHL announced each team's home opener today, and the Buffalo Sabres will begin the 2015-16 NHL season at home, facing the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The season opener for the entire league is on Wednesday the 7th, with eight teams in action, then things really get going on Thursday when fourteen more teams begin their campaign.
