Sabres lament uncashed chances in loss to Lightning

TAMPA, Fla. - Sam Reinhart posed for pictures with the puck from his first NHL goal, but he lamented the fact there weren’t two pucks in his hand. He wasn’t alone.

Ryan O’Reilly was aggravated he missed his chances. Tyler Ennis was frustrated, too. Jack Eichel took awhile to take off his equipment after getting robbed of a goal.

Needless to say, when so many players are shaking their heads because of missed opportunities, the result isn’t good.

The Sabres fell to 1-4 Saturday night with a 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay. It was the third time in five games they scored just one goal, but this game was different.
