The defense has become a more active feature in Buffalo’s scoring attack, which is obviously important; in addition, depth forwards have been contributing more regularly. Of course, they’d almost have to with all of the injuries that have piled up for the Sabres, but we’ve seen seasons where the responsibility fell to the depths to score, and they failed to.
