The Prospect Challenge wrapped up last night, and it included what will hopefully the first of many instances of this sentence: the Buffalo Sabres beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 thanks to Jack Eichel's overtime winner.
Eichel ripped a shot past Boston goalie Zane McIntyre with 37 seconds left in OT to down the baby Bruins, and added a sweet power play assist to Brycen Martin earlier in the game to help tie the game at two. Martin was pretty impressed with the pass, saying after the game,
"Honestly, I had no clue, but he's an exceptional player and he can make plays like that and I felt pretty good after he did it," Martin said.
