The Buffalo Sabres will not be heading back to the Traverse City prospect tournament this year, but will instead be hosting one of their own.
The team announced today that the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils will participate in a three team, round robin Prospect Challenge hosted at the First Niagara Center and Harbor Center.
This should be a fun couple of days to see the Sabres younger prospects in action. There has been no announcement of a roster yet, so we're not sure if players like Jack Eichel or Sam Reinhart will be involved, but either way this is another nice, small feather in Buffalo's hockey cap.
