When I first joined Die By The Blade, I noticed that former Amerks correspondent Stephanie Delio’s user signature included a brief description about how she was raising money for a local charity based on player stats throughout the season. I thought it was a brilliant idea - and for the past few years I’ve done it too.
My favorite local charity is Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester. They do tremendous work for animals in the Rochester region. My wife and I adopted our first cat from them and I love being able to give back to the organization in whatever way I can.
