The Buffalo Sabres headed to Ottawa tonight with two things in mind:
- Keep the playoff dream alive (the Sabres began tonight just 5 points out of a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference); and
- Prove that there was a healthy dose of pride in the locker room left following a disappointing loss against the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday.
It probably came as no surprise to anyone, then, to see alternate captain Ryan O’Reilly make sure that things got off to a good start for his Sabres squad in hostile territory tonight:
