Tim Murray has added another veteran to the Americans, signing defenseman Colby Robak to a one-year AHL deal. The 25-year-old defenseman has played 47 NHL games with Florida and Anaheim, notching four assists. He played 76 games in Rochester during the 2010-11 season, when the Amerks were still affiliated with the Panthers.
Robak spent a majority of last season with Norfolk, scoring one goal and five assists in 29 games. Anaheim acquired him in December for Jesse Blacker and a conditional draft pick.
The Rochester blueline will now likely feature Chad Ruhwedel, Matt Donovan, Bobby Sanguinetti, Jerome Leduc, Nick Petrecki, Brady Austin and Robak.
