The Buffalo Sabres announced this morning they’ve re-signed forward Danny O’Regan to a one-year, two-way deal worth $874,125. The 24-year-old will remain a restricted a free agent next summer when his new contract expires.
O’Regan was of course the prospect acquired in the deadline trade back in February that sent Evander Kane to the San Jose Sharks.
The 2012 fifth-round pick played two games with the Sabres and 18 with the Amerks last season. He had 13 goals and 40 points in 49 games for the Amerks and San Jose Barracuda in the AHL this past year.
