According to Renaud Lavoie from of TVA Sports, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Nathan Beaulieu has requested a trade. The 26-year-old defender is in the final year of his two-year contract he signed with the Sabres and will become a restricted free agent this summer.

This move isn’t a surprise when you consider that Beaulieu has had a decent season, but has been unable to remain in the lineup consistently.
