Recap: Sharks score four unanswered, beat Sabres 4-1

For the past decade or so, the Buffalo Sabres have had the number of the San Jose Sharks, going 9-0-1 in their previous ten games before last night.

It seems like the Sharks are sick and tired of this trend.

San Jose trucked Buffalo last night, scoring four unanswered goals and doubling the Sabres up in shots en route to a 4-1 mugging.

Things started off fine for the Sabres, as Jack Eichel scored his 20th of the season to open things up, and Robin Lehner was sharp through the first 30 minutes. But the Sharks were outplaying the Sabres so badly that eventually the floodgates had to open, and they did midway through the second period to the tune of four straight goals.
