The Buffalo Sabres carried their strong third period from Thursday into the start today against the Ottawa Senators.
After a nice ceremony honoring Jason Pominville’s 1,000 games played, the club got off to a quick start.
Kyle Okposo scored the first goal of the game just under six minutes in. He came down the wing on the rush and ripped a shot past Craig Anderson for his fourth of the season.
The top line of Jack Eichel, Jeff Skinner, and Jason Pominville continued to keep humming.
