Were the Buffalo Sabres going to show some spine after losing three straight games? Well, they jumped into an early lead before losing 4-3 at the Columbus Blue Jackets after coming back to tie the game in the third period, but then giving up a late winner.
Evan Rodrigues put Buffalo up after just a couple of minutes, but soon after a David Savard shot from the blue line snuck in past an unsighted Robin Lehner. The penalty kill went back to it’s earlier season futility, as they gave up two goals late in Columbus power plays.
