The Buffalo Sabres got three things last night that they desperately needed - Jack Eichel returned to the ice, they exploded for five goals, and most importantly, they got a much-needed win over the Ottawa Senators.
Eichel’s debut was everything Sabres fans wanted and more. Six minutes into the game, the Sabres went on the power play, and it only took seven seconds for Eichel to remind everyone what a special player he is. A sharp, cross-ice pass gave Kyle Okposo a free path to the net, and he would bank it off of a skate to put the Sabres up 1-0.
