The Buffalo Sabres will open the 2021 NHL season at KeyBank Center on Thursday, January 14 against the Washington Capitals, the beginning of the league’s 56-game season.
The January 14 game will be the first of two consecutive games against the Capitals, both in Buffalo. Most of the 2021 season will see the Sabres face their East Division opponents in two-game sets, with both games either home or on the road.
Other highlights of the schedule include a three-game set against the New Jersey Devils April 6-9, with the first game on the road and the other two at home.
