NHL Draft Lottery Simulation: Buffalo Sabres Get Second

Here’s what we know for certain: the Buffalo Sabres WILL have either the first-overall or second-overall selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Either Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel WILL be joining the Sabres.

But where the Sabres will exactly be picking, and which player they’ll pick up, is still to be determined — at least for now.

As it stands right now, the Sabres have the best chance out of any team at getting the coveted first-overall pick: 20 percent. All non-playoff teams have a shot at the top pick, but the Sabres have the best shot.
