NHL announces suspension of the 2019-20 season

The National Hockey League announced today that they are suspending the remainder of their 2019-20 season indefinitely due to concerns with COVID-19.

The league reportedly is hoping for a short-term break and resuming the season in a few weeks. They’ll evaluate the situation day by day.

If the Buffalo Sabres are done for this season they’ll have played 69 games and will finish with 68 points. That would have put the Sabres on an 81 point pace over an 82 game season.

As for our site, we’ll now move into “offseason mode” and continue to do our best to provide content for you to consume.
