Johnny Oduya signs two year, $7.5 million deal with Dallas

Cross another name off the available free agent defenseman list. Johnny Oduya has opted to join former Blackhawks teammate Patrick Sharp in Dallas, signing a two-year, $7.5 million deal with the Stars.

Oduya had reportedly turned down a three year, $15 million deal from the Sabres earlier this week. His choice could simply be chalked up to wanting to play for a team that can win immediately, with Dallas likely more equip to challenge in the playoffs than the Sabres currently. He'll be 35-years-old when his contract runs out.
