Last week, I wrote a piece about how much Jack Eichel was struggling to score goals for the Buffalo Sabres.
The piece was focused only on Eichel’s goal scoring, and the fact that he was enduring a stretch in which he only scored two goals in thirteen games and seemed to be trying to do too much with the puck, which often led to costly turnovers. It was not meant to suggest that Eichel was playing poorly; just more of a piece that pointed out he was struggling to find the back of the net, for whatever reasons.
