While the books on the 2014-2015 NHL and AHL seasons are still wide open, some key pieces for the 2015-2016 season are already falling into place. Many teams are changing their affiliations for the upcoming season, either switching with other NHL teams or bringing up teams from the ECHL, or creating new teams entirely.
All in all, there are an astounding 11 affiliation changes coming to the NHL and AHL next season. Though many teams are sticking with the same affiliate as this season, there’s going to be a significant amount of change, something that will undoubtedly take a little bit of time to get used to.
