The Buffalo Sabres are coming off of a 5-4 win against the league’s worst Arizona Coyotes; a game where they had a 5-1 lead in the third period, and everything seemed to be going well. Arizona made a distinct comeback but couldn’t quite get the tying goal past Robin Lehner, and Buffalo walked away with an unnecessarily hard fought victory.
The seem to be collapse of the system that was working well all game was a bad sign, and Buffalo now has something more to prove. They were able to get ahead, but keeping that lead proved hard for them.
