The Buffalo Sabres 2-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings provided Sabres fans with much needed relief after their toughest loss of the season just one night before.
In the first period, the Sabres got off to a rocky start. The Sabres looked a little sluggish in the beginning and struggled to keep the puck out of the Buffalo zone. Still the Sabres Defense and goalie Linus Ullmark played well and fended off the early Detroit attack’s.
In the second period the game sustained the same pace early. Then around halfway through the period following a Detroit penalty, the Sabres picked up the pace and put much more pressure on the Detroit zone.
