Buffalo Sabres: Sabres Recall Curtis Lazar

Ahead of a 3 game west coast road trip, the Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Curtis Lazar up to Buffalo.

During the offseason the Buffalo Sabres signed free agent forward Curtis Lazar to a one year, $700,000 contract. Lazar was a low risk, low reward signing that provided the Sabres with depth at forward if they needed it.

Lazar was originally drafted in the first round by the Ottawa Senators. In 3 years with Ottawa, Lazar played in 176 games and only had 20 points with a plus minus of -10. These stats were extremely disappointing for a prospect that Ottawa believed was going to be a large part of their future.
