Prior to the Buffalo Sabres game against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night, the team released several injury updates.
First, the Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Cal O’Reilly from the AHL’s Rochester Americans.
O’Reilly previously appeared in two games with the Buffalo Sabres in December, notching one assist and a plus-1 rating.
He has 23 points (4-19) in 35 games with the Amerks, leading the team in assists and averaging 0.66 points/game.
To make room for O’Reilly on the roster, Zemgus Girgensons was placed on injured reserve.
