Buffalo Sabres Recall Curtis Lazar

The Buffalo Sabres have recalled forward Curtis Lazar, the team announced Sunday evening. Lazar’s recall is likely a move to allow the team to hold an extra forward ahead of their upcoming Western road trip, which begins Wednesday night in Anaheim.

Lazar, 24, signed with the Sabres over the summer. He’s appeared in three games with the AHL’s Rochester Americans so far this season, recording one assist so far.

The center/right-winger was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators with the 17th overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft.
