Hockey season is finally here! Well, at least exhibition season with the start of the 2018 Prospects Challenge. The Buffalo Sabres took game 1 of the tournament with a 6-4 win over the New Jersey Devils. Among the sold out crowd at Harborcenter in Buffalo and Sabres fans everywhere, the most highly anticipated player in the game was 2018 first overall draft pick Rasmus Dahlin and he did not disappoint.
Rasmus Dahlin’s Buffalo Sabres debut could not have gone much better. Dahlin led all skaters with 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist). Dahlin’s second goal put the Sabres up for good at 4:28 of the third and he assisted on newly acquired winger Tage Thompson‘s shorthanded goal in the third period as well.
