After the Buffalo Sabres traded former center Ryan O’Reilly, they received a number of assets in return from the St. Louis Blues. One piece has already been thrown to the wayside in Patrik Berglund, but the other two pieces are fitting pretty well. Tage Thompson is really learning the pro game well and developing into a decent scoring forward. The piece that seems to go the most unnoticed is centerman Vladimir Sobotka.
Sobotka has never been a big scoring presence on any team he has been on, but where he deserves credit is in his two way game.
