Buffalo Sabres left winger Nicolas Deslauriers is one of those guys who may not produce the most offensively, but still makes an impact night-in and night-out.
This season, Deslauriers played in 70 of the Buffalo Sabres’ 82 regular-season games, and managed to rack up 12 points (6-6) in that stretch.
But where he made the most impact was on the physical side of the game.
Despite missing 12 games, Deslauriers led the Buffalo Sabres in hits, with 206 on the season.
That’s a team-high average of 2.9 hits-per-game (highest among Buffalo Sabres players who appeared in more than one game this season.
