After suffering a lower body injury in the Buffalo Sabres loss to the New York Rangers, Marco Scandella has been ruled out for 2-3 weeks with a lower body injury. The exact injury on Scandella is unknown, but he was seen heading to the locker room favoring his left knee after he was hurt against the Rangers.
While Scandella is out, John Gilmour will recieve Scandella’s playing time on the third defensive pairing alongside Colin Miller. Gilmour was a free agent signing by the Sabres this offseason and was brought on board simply to fill in for situations just like this one.
