Buffalo Sabres Make Nine More Strong Picks In NHL Draft

Just one day after selecting Alex Nylander in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres made nine more picks to build up the crop of players for the team’s future.

Of course, as we all already know, the Buffalo Sabres also traded away one of those picks, early in day two, in the deal that shipped out Mark Pysyk to Florida.

First up, the Buffalo Sabres had just one selection in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft. With that pick, they selected 5’10”, 176-pound centerman Rasmus Asplund out of Sweden’s Farjestad.
