Buffalo Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner remains out with a high-ankle sprain suffered in the team’s opening game of the season, head coach Dan Bylsma said on Tuesday.
Lehner’s initial prognosis put him out of action between six and 10 weeks. Of course, there’s always that underlying question of “Well, it’s been four weeks, could he return early… even though they said 6-10?”
The answer to that, at least right now, seems to be a resounding no.
Bylsma told The Buffalo News on Tuesday that while Lehner is working hard to recover, he isn’t close yet to getting back on the ice.
