Exactly one year ago, the Buffalo Sabres signed then-free agent forward Evan Rodrigues after he wrapped up his college career at Boston University.
A year later, Rodrigues has just recently wrapped up his first professional season – and it was a pretty decent one.
Rodrigues spent most of the season with the AHL’s Rochester Americans, but also got the chance to make his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres.
He finished the AHL season with 30 points in 72 games, second on the Amerks in rookie scoring.
Rodrigues ended the year with nine goals and 21 assists, averaging .
