The Buffalo Sabres somehow managed to lose back-to-back games against the worst two teams in the NHL this weekend, and in doing so, severely crippled any chances they had of earning a wild card spot and bringing playoff hockey back to the 716.
With just a 1.3% chance of making the playoffs right now (according to Sports Club Stats) the Sabres now have an interesting dilemma on their hands. On the one hand, the team can continue to push toward its goal of making the playoffs and give fans reason to believe that the rebuild is progressing adequately.
