Apparently having the top pick From last year’s NHL draft and American superstar Jack Eichel on their roster is not enough to garner a lot of exposure from NBC, as the Buffalo Sabres will only have 5 nationally televised games this upcoming season, a drop from 7 games last season. This year NBC will have 8 more games on their schedule compared to last year, jumping to 107 games.
NBC is also (finally) getting rid of the infamous “Wednesday Night Rivalry” games. On NBC’s “Wednesday Night Rivalry”, the Sabres played bitter rivals such as the Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets.
