As the Buffalo Sabres approach the start to their 50th season, fans around the 716 are all asking the same question they have since 1969. Is this finally the year?
To answer that infamous question simply, no, not this year. However, this year should be another big step in the right direction. Last year the team showed us a lot of promise, going into January the team looked like they were on track to make the playoffs for the first time since 2011. Unfortunately, the last 3 months of hockey did not go the Sabres way and to put it kindly the wheels fell off the bus.
