AKRON, OH - The conference-leading Akron Zips used a 16-6 run over the final 6:45 on Tuesday night as they defeated the University at Buffalo men's basketball team, 80-70. Freshman CJ Massinburg finished with a game-high 21 points in the defeat as the Bulls fell to 14-12 and 7-6 in MAC play.
Akron led 15-9 early in the contest, but the Bulls got the best of the hosts for much of the opening 20 minutes. Trailing 20-19, UB went on a 17-3 run which gave Buffalo a 36-23 lead, its largest of the game.
