BUFFALO, NY – Head women's tennis coach Kristen Maines has completed her roster for the upcoming season with the addition of three student-athletes in Gabriella Akopyan, Ambre Amat, and Alexis Tensfeldt.
Akopyan comes to Buffalo from Yerevan, Armenia where she has represented her country in the FedCup. She has defeated players ranked as high as Top 100 according to the International Tennis Federation and is coming to UB looking for an opportunity to grow as a person, an athlete, and a student."
"Gabriella is a little bit older and the maturity she will bring to this team will be huge," said Maines.
