Wernette And Franklin Named Athletes Of The Week

Junior Megan Wernette was named to the All-Tournament team at the Georgetown Classic as she was outstanding both offensively and defensively, helping the Bulls go 2-1. It began with the 3-0 sweep of Coppin State when Wernette hit .692 as she had nine kills and no errors. Defensively she had four block assists to lead the way. Wernette added seven kills and just two errors against James Madison, while adding three blocks. She had three more blocks against Georgetown, while also having eight kills and just one error. Wernette also chipped in with seven digs this past weekend.
