UB Track and Field sprint records fall in first day of Penn State National Invitational

There wasn't a whole lot of UB representation at the first day of Penn State's National Invitational Friday, but fans got plenty of bang for their buck as Buffalo's sprinters continued to impress in the early part of the season.

The 60m dash was the place to be for Buffalo tonight, as Malayah White tied current teammate Camaria Long's school record in the semifinals and broke it in the final, lowering it to 7.51s, while Darien Johnson lowered his own weeks-old record twice in both the semifinal and the final. That mark now stands at 6.69s. Both White and Johnson finished second among collegiate competitors at the event.
