UB Athletics has fired head softball coach Trena Peel after spending four seasons at the helm of the program. Peel has since taken an assistant coaching job at the University of Central Florida.
Peel’s biggest accomplishment after arriving at Buffalo was a 30-22 campaign that resulted in the programs first MAC East title. The three ensuing years however were less than stellar. In that span her teams have reached a combined 39-120 record, including this year’s abysmal 9-46 showing.
This past season the Bulls finished with a less than optimal 4.37 team ERA as opponents batted over .
