Track And Field Finishes Off Day One At The Outdoor MAC Championships On Thursday

TOLEDO, OH – The University at Buffalo track and field team opened up competition at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track And Field Championships on Thursday at Toledo. The Bulls had five athletes in action on Thursday on the first day of the three-day conference championship event.

After the first day of competition, the UB men's team sits in fourth place with six team points. The Bulls are trailing Eastern Michigan (22 points), Central Michigan (18 points) and Akron (16 points).

The Bulls best result of the day came on the men's side in the javelin as junior Arnis Mehmetaj collected a huge season-long throw of 62.
