BUFFALO, NY – Three University at Buffalo wrestlers were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, the league announced on Wednesday. Kyle Akins, Muhamed McBryde and Brett Perry were all named to the squad.
Akins is an occupational therapy major with a 3.34 grade point average. He went 22-7 on the season, including a perfect 8-0 in duals. The redshirt-sophomore finished fourth at the MAC Championships to advance to the NCAA Championships. Akins went 2-2 at the NCAAs.
McBryde, who was also named to the Academic All-MAC team last year, is a sociology major with a 3.
