Strong Singles Play Leads Buffalo to 4-3 Comeback Win Over Miami (OH)

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won four of six matches in singles play, leading the Bulls to a 4-3 comeback victory over Miami (OH), Sunday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center.

The Bulls lost a tough doubles point as Miami won at one and then in a tiebreaker at three. Chantal Martinez Blanco and Anna Savchenko won at second doubles, 6-2.

Singles was hard fought on both ends as three of the six matches went into three sets. Miami won at five to take a 2-0 lead before sophomore Sanjana Sudhir won at six, 6-3, 6-3 and freshman Emel Abibula won at three, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1.
