Patterson Hits Personal Best As NCAA Preliminaries Conclude

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The University at Buffalo track and field team had a pair of throwers compete on Saturday at the NCAA East Preliminaries held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.

Junior Megan Patterson recorded a new personal best in the outdoor shot put as she finished 18th of 48 in the event with a throw of 15.62m (51-3). The throw was the fourth best in school history and the longest by a UB female since Rachel Roberts in 2014. Patterson, who competed in the first of four flights on Saturday, finished with the best throw in her flight and with the second best throw amongst the first two flights to throw.
