PHILADELPHIA, PA – The University at Buffalo women's rowing team opened the spring portion of its schedule by competing at the Murphy Cup on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia on Saturday. UB's Novice 4 boat highlighted the day by winning the bronze medal.
The Novice 4 boat of Marissa Scaduto, Alexa Hillis, Stephanie Busha, Sara Jakiel and Hayley Nieves had the third best overall time (8:17.09) in their opening race to qualify for the finals. In the finals, they bettered their time with an 8:13.92 to earn the bronze medal.
